Thala Beach Lodge is proudly taking part in Earth Hour 2012 and will be switching off lights between 8:30pm – 9:30pm on the 31st March 2012.
Earth Hour originally started in Sydney in 2007 and quickly developed into a global event to boost climate awareness by unifying people across the globe through a symbolic action – turning off their lights for one hour.
Earth Hour is a WWF initiative symbolising the collective power of individuals, businesses and governments to reduce our impact on this planet. From its beginnings in Sydney Australia Earth Hour has grown to millions of people in over 5000 cities across 135 countries.
