About the role

We are looking for a motivated individual with the ability to create inspirational food and the practical, hands on experience to administer a vibrant commercial kitchen.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Lead a team with a hands on approach in a fast paced environment.
  • Train and manage kitchen staff.
  • Communicate a passion for cooking and create a unique top class menu emphasising fresh local ingredients.
  • Take control of rostering, ordering, food costs and supplier management
  • Deliver event/function catering ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Confident understanding of health, sanitation and food handling.
  • Be available for a fulltime role including nights, weekends & public holidays.
  • Be open to using seasonal produce produced on-site in our edible garden
  • Ensure a high standard of food preparation and presentation
  • Minimize wastage through portion control and stock rotation.
  • Maintain a cleaning schedule for equipment, storage and work areas.
  • Liaise and communicate competently with owners, managers, kitchen and wait staff.

Skills and Experience

Previous Head Chef experience is preferred however not essential. Join a small team with a passion to create memorable dining experiences.

Chef De Partie

An experienced and creative Chef is required to be part of our team. We are looking for someone who can be involved in the process of creating our always changing menus, specials and ensuring a professional presentation.

Skills and experience

Previous Chef de Partie experience is preferred however not essential. We are happy to employ a young Chef with the right attitude that is ready to take the step to the next level. Join a small team with a passion to create memorable dining experiences.


 

Front Office Manager

As the face of the Resort we need someone astute, well presented and confident to lead, organise and work with our front office team.

The role is hands on and will include guest check in & outs, tour bookings, cash handling, problem solving, training, reservations, learning, implementing systems, improving processes and liaising with other resort departments.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Display a confident level of computer skills and prior familiarity in using property management, POS and rostering systems.
  • A working understanding of inventory distribution via wholesalers and Online Travel Agents.
  • Provide accurate information to potential guests in relation to room prices, specials and services.
  • Undertake general office duties including reservations, correspondence, emails and phone calls.
  • Create clear and cohesive communication and processes for a 24 hour reception team.
  • Ensure all reservations, cancellations and no shows are processed efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and focus to ensure guest satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Take pride in the cleanliness of the hotel for both back of house and front of house areas.
  • Be available for a fulltime role which will include weekends, public holidays and nights.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy in a fast paced environment.
  • Remain professional in difficult situations.
  • Display confidence in opening / closing shifts, handing over, using payment terminals and cash handling.
  • Lead a team and work autonomously.
  • Current drivers licence.

Skills and experience

Previous experience in a similar role is favourable.


Night Carer

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Provide the highest level of customer service to guests including check-in and check-out of late arrivals and early departures.
  • Display a thorough understanding of hotel policies, facilities and front desk operations.
  • Display confidence in genuine guest interaction and complaint handling.
  • Take pride in the cleanliness of the hotel for both back of house and front of house areas.
  • Maintain an orderly lobby area and conduct general cleaning duties as required.
  • Take reservation enquiries and action accordingly.
  • Review daily banking, daily takings and correct any discrepancies with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide security and emergency management of the premises during your shift.
  • Work autonomously, multi task, time manage and problem solve.
  • Be available for shifts 2 to 3 nights per week from 11pm to 7am which may include weekends and public holidays.
  • Follow through with clear communication and handover to ensure guest satisfaction and teamwork.

Current drivers licence required and previous hotel experience preferred.


Food & Beverage Attendant

Waiting and clearing tables within a fast paced team environment. Neat, efficient, friendly and attentive. Use of POS system and money handling.

Previous experience in front of house and customer service required. Available weekdays, nights and weekends. Previous bar and barista experience desirable.
